Mis Suénos De Tango
William and Elisabeth met at a tango dance in the fall of 2003. William had come as a music pilgrim, hoping to capture
some of the magic of the milonga dancing as inspiration in his guitar playing. Elisabeth was part of the tango dancing community,
but also felt drawn to the tango as a musician. Together they decided to try some duet material. they started by meeting and
practicing in the stairway outside the room where the dance lessons were given, and then playing for the dancers at the end of
the lessons. Encouraged by the dancers and the joy of making music, they decided to explore other possibilities for performance
and artistic expression.
Mis Suénos de Tango captures a moment in time of their musical journey together.
Soprano Rosanne Hargrave has a repertoire that includes oratorio, opera, Broadway, and jazz. Rosanne is an artist member of
the Monday Musical Club of Albany, and met William through this venerable classical music club, founded in 1903.
Rosanne, William, and Elisabeth first performed together in a Monday Musical Club concert in May 2005, and continue to enjoy
performing together.
