Tobias Katz

Originally from California, Tobias lives in New Mexico and also in Hawaii. He has traveled through most of North America and Europe, as well as Canada, Scotland, Japan, Thailand, Peru, Mexico, Nepal and Morocco. As a continual student of spiritual enlightenment, Katz has studied with several prominent spiritual teachers, including Kewal Pradhan from Nepal, Santana Cerno, an Acoma medicine woman, and Johnny Moses, a Nootka shaman.

Tobias was born from an artistic family. His father was an architect, and his mother was a Julliard-degreed concert pianist. Through direct and indirect musical instruction, he developed a deep connection to the world of music. The compositions he created for “Meditations” vary widely in style, reminiscent of folk and new age music from around the globe. Each piece on the CD was created with its own inherent beauty and otherworldly quality, making the collection as a whole a wonderful accompaniment to meditation, yoga, or quiet contemplation. The slow-moving melodies and crystal-clear audio quality are reminiscent of the hollow echo of flute against the stone walls of an sacred, ancient canyon. The magic of this “Meditations” CD inspires a sense of groundedness and connectivity to the sacred earth, allowing the soul to gently wander and the mind and body… to relax.
